“Destination Zambia” has elevated our global profile.
“Take a Holiday Yamu Loko” has ignited domestic travel, with 92% growth in local tourism this year alone (240,000 vs 129,000 visitors in the first half).
6. Better Access to World-Class Attractions
Roads leading to South Luangwa, Kafue and Lower Zambezi National Parks are being rehabilitated to improve visitor access.
7. Sky’s the Limit
Efforts are underway to attract more international flights, especially to Lusaka and Livingstone our tourism capital.
8. Celebrating Our Culture
Government continues to support traditional ceremonies and cultural festivals, encouraging royal highnesses to attend each other’s events to strengthen cultural unity and boost tourism.
9. Looking Ahead- Green Growth
In 2026, Zambia will roll out the US$100 million Green Resilient and Transformational Development Project (Great-TDP) to accelerate sustainable tourism and boost the economy.
10. Living in Harmony with Nature
Recognizing the challenge of human-wildlife conflict, the government will intensify community sensitization and establish buffer zones to promote coexistence with wildlife.
