Increased Wildlife

Chief Chikazamunyama on Itezhi tezhi district in Southern Province says he is confident that the Kafue National Park is poises to have an increased wildlife population following interventions fom both government and cooperating partners.
Chief Chikazamunyamab says the Kafue National Park has huge potential for a massive wildlife population but this has been hampered by poaching and encroaching in the Game Management Areas.
The traditional leader,however said combated efforts by stakeholders such as African arks as well as the Zambian Government are yielding results which will culminate into an increased wildlife population in the park
he said he is confident that in the next five years the Kafue National Park will be highly populated especially with the restocking exercise that will be going on.
And Chief Musungwa,als of Itezhi tezhi added that the restocking of wildlife ,and other investments taking place in the Kafue National Park will boost employment levels in the district especially among the youths.
The chief says he is impressed with the number of developmental projects taking place in the Kafue National Park and the surrounding communities.
Meamwhile,Greater Kaue Landscape Limited,Field Operations Manager Rhys Williams,says he is encouraged by the wildlife population in the Kafue National Park South by Chiefs who include Chief Musungwa,Chief Shezongo,Chief Kaingu,chief Chilyabufu and Chief Chikazama all of Itezhi tezhi.
